Chart 13 Collateral Program and Chart Talks

Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen

2013

ABOUT THE PROJECT
South into North curated the collateral program of the first edition of Chart Art Fair, in collaboration with then Kunsthal Charlottenborg’s director Jacob Fabricius. The program included the project KERAMIKOS, by Matthew Lutz Kinoy and Natsuko Uchino, a series of posters by Karl Holmkvist, the presentation of the book ‘A feast is’ by Trine Friis Sørensen, Ida Marie Hede and Ursula Nistrup, a performance with Open Source Food (Andre Amtoft and Arendse Krabbe) and a film program curated by CPH:DOX.

As a special project for the fair’s opening day, South into North invited Self Publish Be Happy (London) to produce a publication ‘live’ during the opening day of the fair. During a five-hours live printing performance, photographer Sacha Marich and Self Publish Be Happy created a publication that remixed the artworks and the people of the fair, capturing its lively spirit and energy.

South into North was also instrumental in introducing Chart Talks. For the first edition of the fair, the program of talks was curated by South into North and focused on the theme of ‘commissions’ in contemporary art. Participants included: Olafur Eliasson, Eungie Joo, Nato Thompson, Daniel McClean, Luca Cerizza, Sune Nordgren, Will Bradley and Bruno Ceschel.
