ABOUT THE PROJECT
The exhibition Natures Mortes explored the space between the living and the non-living, movement and stillness, shadow and light. In a total exhibition fusing space, music, painting, Imhof’s own works, as well as those of some thirty guest artists taking over the Palais de Tokyo, the artist created an immersive installation of performance and materiality, fusing the physical and the material. Bodies gather and blend with their surroundings, creating flows between corporeality and materiality. Kvadrat supported the project with a large curtain used as a scenographic and performative device.
