ABOUT THE PROJECT                                             

Jyderup kvindefængsel is a female prison in Denmark. The institution facilities are currently under renovation, which includes the refurbishment of existing structures and the building of new ones. The architects are Alex Poulsen Arkitekter. 

This project comes under the 'per cent for art scheme'.

The art committee formed by a representative from Alex Poulsen Arkitekter, the commissioner (Direktoratet for Kriminalforsorgen) and the art advisors (South into North) have invited artists Christine Roepstorff, Astrid Myntæker and Nina Beier to the art competition.

The competition is currently in progress.
